Back the Blue: Community Fundraiser History

Community project archive: 2016 and 2019. The fundraising campaigns described below have ended. This page preserves their history; it is not an active shirt sale or donation appeal.

Back the Blue apparel: 2016

A request for a shirt supporting a family member in law enforcement grew into a community apparel fundraiser. Global Recognition created flag, police badge and sheriff’s star designs, with part of the proceeds supporting local law enforcement organizations.

As recorded in Global Recognition’s original project recap, the campaign contributed more than $4,200 to local organizations, including the Green Bay Police Foundation, Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Ashwaubenon Public Safety K-9 Program.

K9 Pyro shirt fundraiser: 2019

After Green Bay Police K9 Pyro was seriously injured in April 2019, Global Recognition participated in an authorized shirt fundraiser supporting his medical expenses and the department’s K9 program. Shirt fundraising ended on April 12, 2019.

The original project recap documented a check presentation to the Green Bay Police K9 Program and Pyro’s return to full duty on May 31, 2019. Community members supported the effort through shirt purchases and messages of encouragement.
